Hello Welcome to my workshop
come in have a look
There’s usually something different going on in the workshop.
Have a wander through the collections and see what catches your eye.
Creating a Commission
Every commission begins with a conversation.
Whether you already know exactly what you would like, or simply have an idea, I work with you to create something personal.
Every flower is individually designed, cut, shaped, welded and painted by hand in my North Yorkshire workshop.
Nothing is mass-produced and no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
Below is the journey of one commission, showing how a sheet of steel is transformed into a finished piece that will be enjoyed for many years to come.
Stage 1
Fabrication Begins
Individual petals and leaves are cut from steel before being shaped by hand.
Stage 4
Bringing the Colours to Life
Layers of colour are applied by hand to create depth, warmth and a realistic finish.
Stage 2
Assembly & Welding
Every component is carefully welded together to create the finished arrangement.
Stage 5
Trial the colours & create the foundations
Bringing the colours alive & create the depth & feeling
Stage 3
Priming the Steel
A protective primer is applied to prepare the steel for painting and ensure a long-lasting finish.
Stage 6
The Finished Commission
The completed commission, handcrafted from raw steel into a unique piece of metal art.
